When George Orwell wrote '1984' in 1948, he had the main character of Winston Smith, trying to dodge the regular vaccinations!  This was before it was realized that vaccinations kill one in 200 healthy and innocent individuals.

The MMR vaccination programme was previously the most deliberately fatal medicine applied by the Dr. to the innocent.
